E J Riley of Accrington - Early History

These small tables sold readily and were stamped E J Riley A, By 1910 it was decided that the company should manufacture its own tables in its own workshops, stamped A for Accrington, cricked bats, and other sports equipment was also being made at this time. By 1918, the company were now making around 800 full- sized billiard tables per year, in addition to these, 800 convertible billiard and dining tables were being made and 4,000 portable smaller tables were also sold each year.

These under-size tables were of excellent quality and were very well made using the best quality materials.
